Avatar Season 3 - Episode 21 - Sozin's Comet Part 4: Avatar Aang

During the battle, Ozai slams Aang into a sharp rock, which stabs Aang's scar. Aang releases the seventh chakra and enters the "Avatar State". Though Aang easily overwhelms Ozai, he refuses to kill him. Aang instead uses Aetherbending, which he had just learned from the lion-turtle, to strip Ozai of his Firebending powers. The Order of the White Lotus manage to liberate Ba Sing Se, and Katara defeats Azula and heals Zuko. During his coronation, Fire Lord Zuko promises to aid the world in reconstruction. The series ends with Aang and Katara kissing on a balcony in Ba Sing Se.

While on the island, Aang seeks guidance from his past lives; he is uneasy with the idea that he should kill Ozai, which goes against his pacifist Air Nomad beliefs. Unfortunately, all four Avatars he is able to contact all tell him that he must put aside his own opinions for the good of the world. However, it is the island itself, in fact a lion-turtle and the oldest living thing in the world, from whom Aang receives the guidance he had been seeking.

When Aang reveals his decision to wait until after the comet passes to confront Ozai, Zuko explains the Fire Lord's plan to use the power of Sozin′s Comet to destroy all of the Earth Kingdom, forcing Aang to attack the Fire Lord before the comet's arrival. During the night, Aang is drawn towards an island, prompting the group to find a tracker (Jun, as seen in the first season) as an attempt to locate him.

Zuko confronts Katara about her distrustful disposition toward him and finds out that Katara is taking her anger about her mother's death out on him. He then decides to help Katara find the Fire Nation soldier responsible for killing her mother. When they track him down, they find that her mother said she was the last Waterbender to protect the real last Waterbender of the Southern Water Tribe—Katara herself. Katara finds herself unable to kill the man when she finally confronts him.

After Chit Sang's failed escape, Zuko too is imprisoned. Sokka goes in his father's cell to see Hakoda, and the three create another plan to escape the Boiling Rock. The prison warden attempts to force Chit Sang to tell him the creator of his escape plan, but Chit Sang lies to the warden about who it truly is. Meanwhile, Sokka, Zuko, Suki, and Hakoda decide to start a riot to cover their escape and kidnap the warden to do so.
